April 7 – 8
We needed a place to stay for the weekend because our reservations at a State Park in Cottonwood didn’t start until Sunday. Camp Verde was in a great spot and turned out to be a fun place!
We checked into our new RV Park and drove to see Montezuma’s Castle and Well. We like the cliff dwellings.
The next day we walked around the town and had our Anniversary lunch at the Camp Verde Brewing Company. Food and beer were so good and they had outdoor seating (so Dexter came with us) and a foosball table was fun entertainment for Benat.
Later that day we found a stream/swimming hole for Dexter to swim in and Benat to play in. We had to pull Benat from the water even though he was shivering! A beautiful spot next to some red rocks.
