My Brother Gets Married!

January 5 – 10, 2017 – We flew to Connecticut to see my brother get married at the beautiful Branford House in Groton, CT. My lovely cousin, Jessica, set my family and my folks up in a house across the street from her family. The location was not far from the wedding site and on the edge of Gardner Lake.

We were able to hang out with a lot of family we haven’t seen in a while and they all got to meet Benat.

There was a lot of playing between grandma, grandpa and Benat.

What we expected to be a dusting of snow turned into a larger snow storm the day of the wedding!

We were also able to catch dinner with a sf sailor friend of mine, Sarah and her family.

The flight back did not go as planned and spend a night in Chicago. But we did find another delicious sushi restaurant a short walk from the hotel we got put up in.

Conservatory of Flowers, San Francisco

January 3, 2017 – Matt, Benat and I drove to the Conservatory of Flowers to visit with Joneve, Katy, and her daughter Mikayla. We made the trip to the Conservatory because they had a special exhibit on butterflies! Benat was a little shy and nervous about the butterflies landing on him. However, since our visit he has enjoyed pointing out any “flies” we see! After a fun morning of catching up we all went to Ebisu for lunch. Delicious.

Sweeney Ridge, Pacifica

December 30, 2016 – Went for a hike in my old stomping grounds of Pacifica with the Spiegal family. We hiked for a little longer than expected and ended up at a sushi restaurant, Sushi Koko, around the corner from an old apartment of mine. Hadn’t been there while I lived there, wish I had because it was good!

Coyote Peak hike

December 29, 2016 – Benat, Dexter and I hiked up to the top of Coyote Peak in Santa Teresa County Park. It was a decent hike up, quite windy at the top, and steep coming down. Benat was not excited about the wind but was about all the cows grazing in the area.
