February 16, 2016: The camper is packed and we are heading to Morro Bay!

February 14, 2016: The start to this day was fantastic…. Dexter, Benat and I drove to Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park to hike with Brooke. The park was cool: grazing cattle close by (had to bushwack at one spot because there were some steers occupying the trail and not moving), more rolling green hills with oak trees and views. This park was also an old olive tree farm. The rows of trees were still there for exploration with a lot of olives on the ground.

We get back to the cars just in time for Benat’s nap and my Subaru Forrester won’t start. I attempt to get a jump from someone else, but nothing. Thankfully, my folks got me a AAA membership for Christmas this year. About 30 minutes later a AAA battery specialist arrives and diagnosis my sad battery that needs to be replaced. The car only had 2 more days on the road before it was to be tucked away for a while…. and now it gets tucked away with a brand new battery!

February 12, 2017 – The start of our camping adventure has been delayed.

For preventative maintenance we had the front end of our Dodge truck redone. However, when we got it back the front brakes were now sticking…. had to send the truck back in to get new calipers. And it’s raining again in San Jose.
